Terms & Conditions — Floral Preservation

1. Nature of the Service

Floral preservation is a bespoke process using real flowers. Due to the natural and organic nature of the materials, variations in colour, shape, and finish are to be expected.

Each piece is individually created and cannot be identical to fresh flowers or reference images.

2. Condition of Flowers

The final outcome is heavily dependent on the condition of the flowers at the time they are received.

Clients are responsible for:

  • Keeping flowers in water until delivery

  • Delivering within 1–3 days of the event where possible

  • Avoiding excessive heat, moisture, or damage

Flowers that are wilted, browned, moulding, or significantly aged may not preserve successfully. In such cases, alternative flowers or elements may be used at my discretion to achieve the best possible result.

3. The Preservation Process

The process includes:

  • Drying (typically using silica or air methods)

  • Preparation and sealing

  • Resin casting

  • Curing

  • Finishing and polishing

This is a time-intensive process and typically takes 8–16 weeks, depending on the piece and drying time required.

Delays may occur due to environmental conditions, curing times, or workload.

4. Natural Changes & Expectations

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Flowers will change during preservation

  • Colours may soften, deepen, or shift

  • Some petals may shrink, curl, or become translucent

  • Resin may contain small bubbles or natural variations

These are not faults, but characteristics of working with real flowers and resin.

Exact colour matching and full replication of the original bouquet cannot be guaranteed.

5. Artistic Discretion

Each piece is created with care and professional judgement.

Placement, composition, and final arrangement are determined by what will best preserve the flowers and create a balanced, lasting piece.

Specific requests will be considered, but exact replication cannot always be achieved.

6. Resin Characteristics

Resin is a durable material but not indestructible.

Over time, it may:

  • Slightly warm in tone

  • React to UV exposure

  • Show minor imperfections

To maintain quality, pieces should be kept out of direct sunlight and excessive heat.

7. Breakage & Damage

Once completed and delivered, I am not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Dropping

  • Impact

  • Improper care

  • Exposure to unsuitable conditions

Care instructions will be provided with each piece.

8. Payments & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Work will not begin until the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid before dispatch or collection.

9. Refunds & Returns

Due to the bespoke and sentimental nature of the work, refunds are not offered once preservation has begun.

If there are concerns with a completed piece, these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

10. Communication

Clear and respectful communication is expected from both parties.

Response times may vary depending on workload, but all enquiries will be answered as promptly as possible.

11. Agreement

By submitting flowers and proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

Final Note

Floral preservation is a careful and considered process. Every effort is made to honour the flowers entrusted to me, while working within the natural limitations of the materials.
